Episode 46: Why Should a Senior Choose an Elder Law Attorney?

By Todd Whatley & Sara Scott

Would you make an appointment with the Cardiologist if you were having severe foot pain? NO!!! Many people, especially our aging individuals, have a common misconception that the attorney with whom they are familiar with, can handle any and all legal matters that come their way. While attorneys learn the basics of every specialized area of law while in law school, that does not make them specialized in every area…just like doctors who practice family medicine won’t be the best option to perform your brain surgery, a tax attorney is not your best option to represent you in a criminal defense case. This logic is especially applied to our seniors, when it comes to what kind of attorney will best represent and serve their elder law needs.

Certified Elder Law attorneys are incredibly dedicated and capable to meet your needs as you age, so take advantage of this episode, which articulates the reasons why you should seek the advice from an Elder Law Attorney to meet those specialized needs as you age.
